Underground Services, Inc. served as SUE subconsultant to Century Engineering. The project involved the completion of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) work for the planning and design of a 10-mile shared-use path, following an abandoned rail line. The SUE work employed Quality Levels A and B techniques to accurately identify, map, and assess subsurface utilities within the corridor with specific attention to the abandoned crossings along the path. The goal was to ensure that the path would be constructed safely and efficiently, with minimal risk of utility conflicts or unexpected issues during construction. Project manager, deliverables team and field crews worked seamlessly to provide a detailed mapping of the corridor, highlighting utility locations and depths to avoid conflicts. These drawings and documents were easily integrated into the primes design package. All work was completed on time and remained within the proposed budget.
