LOCATION Below is a picture of a truck-mounted vacuum excavation unit. These units are used to provide the highest level of safety in the excavation of utilities. In order to give the client exact information as to where the utility-in-question lies, we use the nation's leading vacuum excavation technology for enviromentally-safe, non-destructive test holes.  Above is a SoftDig Crew locating utilities. Above is an open test hole with the utility exposed. After the utility is located, the technician replaces the native soil if possible or will use a special fill as determined by code or client.  Depths of the utility are taken and a survey marker is posted to establish global coordinates for the test hole.
